CALEIDOSCOPIO ROCK USA ANNI 60
Eccoci ad un’ulteriore tappa del viaggio nella discografia garage rock USA “minore” del 1966.
Sempre di più si noterà come il 1966 sia stato un anno di incredibili trasformazioni e “connivenze musicali” parallele, dove era possibile trovare epigoni della “British Invasion”, gruppi dallo stile “retro” ancora debitori dell’eredità del rockabilly, altri già sostenitori della corrente “protopunk”, altri ancora già orientati alle sperimentazioni dei primordi del movimento psichedelico (con il risultato di incredibili forme ibride di “garage psichedelico” dai suoni del tutto nuovi e pionieristici). Interessante notare come sovente le sperimentazioni più significative ed audaci fossero riscontrabili in “etichette minori”, meno ancorate rispetto a quelle “di prima fascia” alla necessità di dare peso importante al gusto dominante e alle ragioni del mercato.
