CALEIDOSCOPIO ROCK USA ANNI 60
Negli anni ‘60 la realtà radiofonica a stelle e strisce era ben diversa dalla situazione attuale.
Prima che si avviasse l’inesorabile (e deleterio) processo di omogeneizzazione del contenuto delle classifiche radiofoniche, non era assolutamente insolito che nelle “top 40 hit parades” locali potessero dominare (e a volte spadroneggiare) brani di bands di teenagers della zona, magari incisi per etichette autoprodotte e con budget limitati. Anzi, tutto ciò non era altro che un’onda lunga che si proiettava sui decenni successivi fin dal dopoguerra, allorquando molti artisti del rhythm & blues e del rockabilly avevano messo ben solide radici nel gusto locale per tutta la durata degli anni 50. Se inoltre consideriamo che una buona fetta del garage rock prendeva le mosse dal rock’n’roll e dalle sue sottocategorie, si può dire che quell’onda lunga si era già estesa per quasi un ventennio. Nella presente sezione compaiono alcune “hit locali” radiofoniche in qualche modo sorprendenti, perché nate da mezzi economici e investimenti già allora quasi irrisori.
