Garage rock USA 1966. Discografia minore / 10

Mai come nel biennio 1965-1966 in USA l’attività del “talent-scouting” era frenetica ed incessante, tanto più se il numero di garage rock bands attive era davvero esorbitante e la quantità di “locations” e “venues” pareva non aver limiti, dalla piccola bettola al grande “dance hall”.

E visto l’andazzo… non era raro scovare, nascosti tra i clienti di un “parlor” o di un “adult club”, svariati managers musicali o più spesso “osservatori sul campo”, sempre pronti ad avvicinare bands promettenti e con una marcia in più. Naturalmente la concorrenza tra bands era spietata, figuriamoci quella tra “osservatori”… Il problema radicale per le rock bands era ovviamente il “budget”, quasi sempre ridotto all’osso, cui si poteva rimediare o con un “management fai-da-te” o affidandosi alla buona sorte. Ma purtroppo la “fauna manageriale” era alquanto variegata e affollata e il rischio di imbattersi in manager improvvisati, poco trasparenti o del tutto disonesti non era così remoto. Nella sezione discografica qui di seguito spuntano qua e là alcune bands che sfortunatamente incapparono in qualche spiacevole sorpresa…
